RE:  Summary of the 2007 Bost Employee Survey

DATE:  February 22, 2012

I am very pleased to share with you the results of the 2011 Bost Employee Survey.

Employee input and contributions are always major factors in improving the quality of our programs.  Your willingness to discuss and provide feedback has been most helpful and important to the success of the Agency.  Below are the results of the 2011 Bost Employee Survey.

I attribute this excellent outcome to the training, communication and leadership provided by the Agency supervisors and directors, as well as the improved performance of the entire workgroup.  Specific trends and focused needs that became evident during the survey process will be reviewed, considered and addressed on a department level.

The 2011 Bost Employee Survey consisted of ten questions focusing on key work place issues.    Input from all employees was solicited and encouraged.  A total of 592 employees responded to the survey.  This represents a 60 percent response rate for Bost employees, which is the best response rate for this survey so far.  Results were analyzed for the entire organization and separately for each department.  Written comments were received and each have also been shared with the respective Department.  Directors have been asked to review and address identified needs, problems and/or areas for improvement.  Please see the next page for further information.

A 5-point scoring method was used, with 1 representing “Strongly Disagree” through 5 representing “Strongly Agree.”  The agency wide results are presented below:
