As a certified teacher, you will be responsible for adhering to the scope of responsibilities of Early Childhood Special Education Teachers as defined by the Arkansas Department of Education, Early Childhood Special Education and Related Services, Rules and Regulations.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining confidentiality of all Children’s Services consumers, providing 30 minutes of direct instruction services for each child each week, providing 30 minutes of teacher consultation/supervision to child development aides each week, performing comprehensive developmental evaluations, writing and modifying Individual Program Plans, Prepare and complete Due Process paperwork, attending conferences, developing classroom schedules, developing lesson plans, attending training seminars, and receiving 36 professional development hours annually in accordance with the Arkansas Department of Education License Standards.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and valid Arkansas teaching certification, Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Integrated Birth-Kindergarten certification, or willingness to file for Additional Licensure Plan with Arkansas Department of Education (must be completed within the first three (3) years of employment). Additional requirements include acceptable driving record and proof of liability insurance.
Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
