Bost is excited to announce that we are seeking a Human Resources Director. The Human Resources Director will be responsible for planning, directing, and implementing systems to use the agency’s human resources effectively and efficiently in fulfilling the functions of the agency.

The Human Resources Director will be required to develop, recommend and administer policies and procedures related to all phases of the agency’s human resources programs, provide counsel, guidance, and assistance to management for the administration, coordination, and interpretation of the agency’s policies and objectives, develop and recommend changes to enhance the organizational structure, direct the development and implementation of affirmative action and equal opportunity compliance plans in accordance with state and federal mandates, provide a system for the provision of an effective employee compensation program, provide a system for maintenance of personnel records, direct the preparation of human resource budgets, and provide a system for regular monitoring of those budgets to ensure proper implementation and to maximize the efficient use of available resources.

Additional responsibilities will include the need to support members of management in the achievement of their goals and those of staff development needs, effectively ensure compliance with FLSA, unemployment compensation and workers’ compensation, coordinate with Financial Services concerning all information needed to prepare payroll and administer and monitor agency Personnel policies as well as benefits packages. Other duties as assigned.

Qualified applicants will need a Bachelor’s degree or PHR certification (Master’s degree preferred), the ability to maintain effective working relationships with diverse constituencies, accomplished written/oral skills, the ability and knowledge to provide leadership for planning, development, and implementation of complex human resources programs, thorough knowledge of current human resources methodologies and laws, experience with and knowledge of computerized applications of human resources functions, and the ability to organize, prioritize and work effectively in a strong service environment.
