The ArTs at Bost has a Christmas Art Show and competition on Thursday, December 15th. The theme for this year’s competition was Christmas Past, Present and Future. Students wrote artist statements with each artwork. Artworks were judged on Consumers in the Art class created acrylic paintings, Christmas ornaments and mug/card trees for display and sale. The various artworks were judged on the artist statements, engagement, color, ornamentation, painting techniques, texture and design.

Congratulations to our first-place winner of the ArTs at Bost winter art competition – Rose Kelley! First place prize was a $100 gift card. Congratulations, Rose! The second-place winner received a $75 gift card. Third place winner was Stephanie, winning a $50 gift card. Bost employees voted on the People’s Choice awards with Sean and Jenny both receiving$ 25 gift cards. Congratulations to all the winners!

Consumers and Staff were treated to hot cocoa and decorate your own Christmas mitten cookies, as well as a special appearance by the Grinch.  After looking at the Art and judging the Staff door decorating contest. The doors were judged on theme, craftsmanship, color and if both sides of the door were decorated. Consumers voted for First and Second Place winners with Children’s Services winning First Place and Human Resources/Training winning Second Place in the contest! Congratulations to those winners as well!
